Why do you prefer E-mail to phone calls?
1. We prefer using E-mail because it allows us to save everyone time. E-mail gives us a record of what was requested, and allows us to schedule tasks more efficiently. Rather than chit chat and/or play telephone tag, we'd rather spend our time making the changes that our clients have requested. If you just have to talk on the phone we are usually in the office between 9 am and 11 am M-F pacific time, but please be aware, for non-hosting issues, we charge $125 an hour as network and programming consultants. Send us an e-mail. We check our e-mail throughout the day and night, 7 days a week and usually respond that day.

When I do a whois, my domain has someone else's address or E-mail listed.
2. Domain names are being "mined" for E-mail and business address to be added to spam and junk mail lists. We register the domain with these e-mails and address to keep your info off these lists. It is still "your" domain.

I need to make a change in regards to my domain name. What do I do?
3. E-mail us what you want done. If you domain was registered through Practice Builders, please include the name of your Ad Manager for verification purposes.

You are about to, or have, turned off my web site/domain for non-payment.
Can I pay my bill by credit card?
4. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards. ISPs and hosting companies are notorious for taking credit card payments and setting up monthly billing, and continuing to bill the card way after the service has been discontinued. This practice was one of the key reasons why we founded Tea House, and we vowed never to subject our customers to this horror. If you wish to reinstate your web site / domain name, send us an E-mail. We will immediately reinstate it for 15 days to give you time to send us a check. Our billing address is
Tea House of the Net
12440 Firestone Blvd, Ste 1009
Norwalk, CA 90650
Please put your domain name on the face of the check.

My brother/cousin/great-aunt has built my web site. Can I sign up
        for the Practice Builders plan?
5. We will have to look at the web site code before we can commit to a hosting and maintenance plan. Unfortunately, that free or really cheap web site you bought was probably built by someone using some type of html editor, and unless they knew enough to edit out the extra garbage the editor added to the code, we will not be able to make changes quickly or easily and so can not afford to offer you the plan. We will be glad to sign you up for one of our other plans.

I want to make changes to my web site myself and I want ftp access. Why don't you allow it?
6.You have a professionally designed web site that we know has no flaws in it's structure. If you just have to muck with it, we will zip up the files and email them to you. After you have made your changes, zip it up and send it back to us. We will review it before uploading it the the server, to insure that nothing is technically wrong with it. Also, as a security precaution, we do not allow ftp access to our servers unless the requesting computer is located on our LAN.
